If your computer doesn’t have a camera or you’d just prefer to use your mobile device, you can still record and submit your speech assignments through the Soomo video recorder. Note that on iOS devices, only the Safari browser can be used to record.
To begin recording a video with the Soomo video recorder, tap Start Activity.
Add a title to your video if you’d like, and then tap Continue.
From there, you have the option to record your video within the Soomo video recorder or to upload a video from your device. For more information on how to upload a video, check out our Help Center article: How do I upload a video to the Soomo video recorder?
To start recording your video, tap Record and then Continue to Recorder.
Pro tip: If you’re recording with the Soomo video recorder for the first time, you may need to allow access to your camera and microphone. If you need help doing so, this article will help walk you through.
You’re ready to record! Tap the Record button when you’d like to begin your recording.
If you don’t see the Record button, you may need to close the recording instructions by tapping the X near the top right corner of the video recorder.
If you’re not quite finished with your recording yet but need a break, tap Pause.
When you’re done recording, tap Stop.
Once you’re finished, you can tap Post to submit your video to your instructor or tap Delete to archive or delete your video.
You’ll know your video has been uploaded and processed successfully when you see the video thumbnail appear in the main view of the Soomo video recorder.
