How do I record a video with the Soomo video recorder?

With video assignments in the Soomo video recorder, you can record and submit your speech directly in your webtext using your computer or phone camera. You can record, delete, and practice as many times as you’d like before submitting your video for peer review or to your instructor.

To begin recording a video with the Soomo video recorder, click Start Activity.

Add a title to your video, then click Continue.

Review the recording instructions and click Continue. In the next window that appears, click Continue to Recorder.

The Soomo video recorder will check your camera and microphone to make sure you are ready for recording. For more information on enabling your camera and microphone, check out this article for step-by-step instructions.

Once your camera, microphone, and connection pass the equipment check, click Continue.

When you’re ready to begin recording, click Record in the lower-left corner.

While recording, you can use the buttons at the bottom of the recording panel to manage your video:

When you are all done with your recording, click Stop.

Once the video preview appears, use the buttons at the bottom of the recording panel to choose how to proceed:

You’ll know your video has been uploaded and processed successfully when you see the video thumbnail appear in the main recorder view.
