To get the most out of your Soomo webtext, it’s important to use supported devices and a reliable internet connection.

Devices

You can use your webtext on a Mac, PC, or Chromebook. Linux users on supported browsers should also be able to use their webtext without issues.

The Soomo Reader app works on Android devices running Android 9 or higher. It also works on iOS devices, including iPhone and iPad, running iOS 16 or higher.

Supported browsers

Your webtext works best with the latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Apple Safari

For more information on supported browsers and how to update them, visit our article, What browsers can I use for my webtext?

Internet connection

A stable internet connection helps your webtext run smoothly. We recommend a minimum download speed of 10Mbps for the best experience. You can check your internet speed using a tool like Google’s Speed Test. If your speeds are below the recommended minimum, your webtext may load more slowly. You may also notice that some features respond less reliably.

If you don’t always have internet access, you can use the Soomo Reader app to work in your webtext offline. For more information, check out our article, Can I do my work if I’m not online?
