In the Soomo video recorder, you’ll see your own videos in the Mine tab and your classmates’ videos in the Peer tab.

To review a classmate’s speech, click into the Peer tab and then select the video you’d like to provide feedback on.

Review the feedback instructions if you’d like, then click Continue.

The video will begin playing in the panel on the left of the video recorder with the feedback panel on the right.

If you’re on a mobile device, you might only see one of the panels at a time. In that case, you may want to pause the video while viewing the feedback panel.

Use markers

Click a marker to select a preset comment, then click the send icon to submit the comment as is. The video will automatically pause when you click the marker and start playing again once you’ve clicked the send icon.

You can also click a marker and then add your own text.

To leave a comment without a marker, type your message in the comment field. The video will automatically pause when you start typing and resume when you click the send icon.

Use a rubric

You can also provide feedback on a video by using rubrics. Click the clipboard icon in the middle of the Soomo video recorder to open the Rubrics panel.
