What’s a passkey?

And where can you get one?

Some courses access a webtext using a passkey. A passkey is a 13-digit code that starts with the letter WT. If your school uses passkeys, you’ll be prompted to enter one the first time you access your webtext.

A Soomo passkey looks like this:

(Be sure not to confuse it with an ISBN number! Those also have 13 digits but they start with the number 9.)

Your school bookstore is the only place you can purchase a passkey. They are responsible for getting it to you after you purchase it.

The passkey might be in an email sent by the bookstore, in an envelope handed to you at the counter, or in a letter sent to you in the mail.

If you bought a passkey but haven’t received it yet, call the school bookstore for help.

If you’ve already received your passkey but are having trouble with it, get in touch with us!
