Identify Students with Low Scores & Completion:
The weekly Student Activity Summary will list all of the students in your course. The top number shows completion and the bottom number shows score. Students who are below the class average are flagged in red. Use Analytics to follow up with these students.
How to access Analytics:
You can access Analytics from your webtext by clicking on the Tools Menu in the upper right corner, and then selecting Analytics.
Overview:
Analytics will open in a new window, displaying student webtext activity in your course. You will be presented with a grid layout, with a row for each student and a column for each page. Use the key at the bottom to determine the status for each page:
Opened - Student has viewed the page.
Progress - Student has begun answering questions on the page.
Answered - Student has answered everything on the page.
To get more detailed information, use your mouse to hover over almost anything!
Use the “Sort by” dropdown menu to change the order in which the students are listed.
If you’re looking for a particular student, use the search bar at the top of the screen and start typing the student's name.
Navigate between chapters and pages:
In the navigation menu on the left, click Table of Contents. From there, you can click on the chapter or page you want to view.
View scores or active time:
To switch from the Progress overview, click on either Score or Time on the upper right side of the overview screen.
Progress overview displays students’ advancement through the course.
Score overview displays the correct percentage.
Time overview displays active time.
Tip: Click on any blue box to see a detailed view of the student’s work on that page.
