Some schools use a link on their website to help students enter the webtext. This link opens a new window that logs you in automatically.

If that new window fails to open, your browser’s popup blocker could be the reason why.

In most browsers, a small message or icon will appear to notify you that a popup window has been blocked. It should contain a button that you can click to allow popups to open.

Chrome

In Chrome, the message will appear in the address bar, where you type web addresses.

Click on it, check “Always allow pop-ups” and then click “Done.”

Arrow pointing to the “pop-up blocked” message in Chrome. In the “pop-ups blocked” menu, the “always allow popups” option is selected and highlighted.

Firefox

In Firefox, a banner will appear across the top of the page. Click “Preferences” in the banner and then select “Allow pop-ups.”

Arrow pointing to the Preferences button in the Firefox popup banner. In the dropdown menu, "allow popups" is highlighted.

Edge

In Edge, the message will appear in the address bar, where you type web addresses.

Click on it, check “Always allow pop-ups” and then click “Done.”

Arrow pointing to the “pop-up blocked” message in Edge. In the “pop-ups blocked” menu, the “always allow popups” option is selected and highlighted.

If you have clicked the link on your school’s website and don’t see the webtext or one of the above messages, then you will need to go into your browser settings and turn off the popup blocker manually.
