How do I access my webtext through Inclusive Access?

What to expect when your school provides your webtext through Inclusive Access

Written by Alyssa

Overview

If your course participates in an Inclusive Access program, your required course materials are typically included in your tuition or course fees. This means you may not need to purchase your webtext separately.

Accessing your webtext

Because every school manages Inclusive Access differently, how you access your webtext depends on your program.

  • If your program uses passkeys: You’ll receive a passkey (access code) from your school or bookstore, usually through email or your Learning Management System (LMS). Enter the passkey when prompted to activate your webtext.

  • If your program uses direct access: You won’t need a passkey. Simply open your webtext through your LMS to access it.

Opting out

If you choose to opt out of your school’s Inclusive Access program, your access to the webtext will be disabled.

To gain access to your webtext to complete your coursework, you’ll need to purchase access independently. The process depends on the type of Inclusive Access program your school uses.

  • If your program uses passkeys: You’ll typically need to purchase a standard passkey through your campus bookstore or purchase directly from Soomo using a credit card.

  • If your program uses direct access: Follow the instructions provided by your school’s access program. Depending on the program, you may be prompted to purchase access when you return to your webtext.

If you’re unsure how to regain access after opting out, contact your school’s bookstore.
