I don’t think I can complete an assignment as a person with a disability. What should I do?

If you are struggling with an assignment and believe that it is related to your disability, we suggest that you contact your professor and office of disabilities to discuss your issue. Be sure to tell them the specific assignment and page that you are struggling with. We can work with them to resolve your issues.

I use assistive technology and am struggling with your product. What should I do?

You should contact our support team by email, Intercom, or phone with your specific issue. Please provide as much detail as you can including what assistive technology and platform you are using and what you are doing when the issue occurs. Our Accessibility Coordinator will review your issue and work to resolve it promptly. They may reach out to you for more information. We are committed to ensuring that all users have an exciting and enjoyable experience!

I need alternative access to my webtext. What should I do?

Depending on the access you need, we have services available. An accessible PDF can be requested by the office of disabilities. In the webtext, third-party materials are not supported in an alternative format by Soomo. We encourage reaching out to your office of disabilities to receive these materials in an accessible format along with your webtext.

Is there something else besides captions?

Below every video, you will find a link to a rich transcript of that video. These transcripts contain all of the information you need to complete your work as well as extra information to contextualize the video and provide an equivalent experience. These transcripts are useful for any person who is unable to see or hear the video, needs an alternative format, or just wants extra time with the content. We have transcripts for all of our content including content that is visual or audio only so that all users can access the information.
