As you follow student progress in writing templates, you can use a filter to quickly view and address specific work, making it easier to track completion, revisions, and comments.

Go to Analytics and click on any blue box to view the page detail screen.

The Analytics screen, with an arrow pointing at webtext completion checkmarks.

Once you've done that, if the page contains writing templates a filter will appear on the left-hand side of the screen below the student's name. Select the box next to each of these three categories:

  • completed

  • started

  • not started

This will filter the student list to show only students who have not received a comment on that page (regardless of their completion status).

Analytics detail view of a page with a writing template. A green arrow pointing to different filtering options on the left-hand side of the screen.

Note: If you’d like to comment on only complete templates or only incomplete templates, you may do so by only checking one box at a time.

Tips:

  • Select the box next to completed to add comments to pages that students have already finished.

  • Select the box next to started to add comments to pages that students need to finish.

  • Select the box next to not started to add comments to pages that students need to start.
