You may need to take a screenshot to upload to the webtext as part of an assignment or to send to Soomo Support. This page will walk you through the steps to take a screenshot on various devices.

Windows computer or PC

There are two common ways to take a screenshot on a Windows computer: using the Snipping Tool and using the Print Screen key.

Using the Snipping Tool

  1. Open the Snipping Tool by using your computer’s search bar to search for the word “snip.” The Snipping Tool icon will appear in the search results and you can open the tool from there.

  2. Click Mode. If you want to take a screenshot of your entire screen, select the option to take a full-screen snip. If you want to take a screenshot of part of your screen, select the option for taking a rectangular snip. Crosshairs will appear, letting you click and drag to select the area you would like a screenshot of. Once you let go of the mouse, the screenshot you took will automatically appear.

  3. Click the Save icon within the snipping tool and choose where you want to save your screenshot. Saving it to the Desktop or your Downloads folder will make it easy to find.

  4. Now that you know where your screenshot file is located, you’ll be able to upload it to the webtext or send it to Soomo Support.

  2. Press the Windows key and the Print Screen key at the same time.

  3. Find the screenshot file on your computer. It should be located inside of the Screenshots folder within your computer’s Pictures folder.

  4. Now that you know where your screenshot file is located, you’ll be able to upload it to the webtext or send it to Soomo Support.
